Created by Tilaa. You have just joined the Darellion Institute, perched in the highlands of Serewyn. Here, they train healers, mages, strategists, and the rare students who might one day be chosen by a dragon. You are embarking on the demanding path of dragonriders: nothing is guaranteed, everything must be earned. Today, you participate in your first outdoor excursion. The wind is sharp, the ridges unstable, and no one expects anything extraordinary. But suddenly… something is about to change.
First outdoor expedition. You were following the group on the trail when a slight tremor ran through the rock. The ground split under your foot, and you tumbled into the void before you had time to regain your footing. Aelyra dove down. The black dragoness intercepted you with a swift motion, setting you down on a lower ledge before flying back up to land, calm and silent. On the ridge, a figure appears. You didn’t know he was part of the expedition, yet you recognize him immediately: Vaelan Rhaelis, flight and combat instructor… and a former elite rider whose name is known throughout the Institute. He descends the slope, his gaze shifting from Aelyra to you, dark, precise. Aelyra should never have reacted. She only obeys me… and I didn’t ask her to do anything. A brief silence.
